Government Debt

Since CIMD was founded in 1984 our leading role in both Spanish and other South European public debt markets has been a fact. We have been working to nurture and increase this leadership every day since then. We have been a key witness and active participant in the transformation and modernization of the Primary and Secondary Spanish Government Debt markets, contributing to guarantee and increase liquidity (smaller bid-offers and greater trading sizes) in the wholesale international market for Spanish Government bonds. Since our beginning, we have widened the scope the markets we cover; we not only intermediate government bonds and t-bills from Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and Germeny, but we also cover other products like SSA Bonds,  Inflation-linked bonds and other derivative instruments (ASW and Bond Future Basis).

Recently, we have launched CIMD e-pit, our digital platform for bond auctions. The goal is to facilitate electronic trading in a complementary fashion to our government debt voice desk.
